Was going to schedule a July mountain bike trip but thinking of doing a 180 (no pun intended) and hitting a mountain in the other hemisphere. With fuel prices as high as they are and thus airline tickets on the rise thinking S. America is our best bet (as opposed to NZ). Anyone going to Chile and if so where are you staying, what resort, where you flying into, etc....

All feedback or links to articles appreciated as we want to book soon.

Not a huge difference in cost of airflight, IMO. a few hundered bucks isn't much when you're at $2500+

I'd pick NZ for my money.
