Well, that year was probably the worst winter for snow sports in 50 years in the East! Don't judge it on just that, nothing was good. When were you there? Spring break? That's about the only time of year when fog could be possible, usually it's cold....stupid cold, -40C before the windchill cold.
Last year saw near record snow (only 10 cm short of the all-time record)
Tremblant is a pretty good place. It's an Interwest resort so it looks (and costs) like Whistler. Lots of runs, good vertical, good nightlife, nice village (Interwest's standard Alpine village in a box, but pretty well done)
