Whos ready for Cataloochee?
 

Who is ready to hit up Cataloochee when they finally start blowing that crappy fake snow we all love in the south haha? Ever since i bought my new k2 board and bindings iv been itching to get on it and break it in on some rails and boxes.

Heck yes! I've been to cata only a few time(last season was my first ever) and I love it. Fun little park and I like the blue run, jumping off the wall the whole way down! Going the 26th for the day since they open that week.

Ehhh, im gonna stick to sugar and App, a hell of a lot closer for me

When do you guys think that cata and sugar and such will actually open this year? I am getting a crazy itch! Not helping that I watch the base cam everyday of these places waiting for snow =/

haha I do the same thing with the cams. I'm like come one dam weather. I have a feeling its going to be around thanksgiving but i hope not that late. If I could just quit wasting time in the campus library watching snowboard movies on itunes and YouTube it probably wouldn't be so bad

App is set to open on the 18th

Cat just started blowing today they say they should open by sat morning from mid mtn down. Me and my buddy are heading up Wednesday if they do open this week. Check out the web cam Webcam - Cataloochee Ski Area, Maggie Valley NC

This is one of the closest areas to me, here in north Alabama. Its about 5 hours from me, is it nice enough for that kind of road trip?

Closest place to you man is Mentone, Alabubba They have a tow rope and even a cliff to drop!

I know all about Cloudmont, I plan on going as soon as they open. I bought my first snowboard setup this off season, I'm itching to test it out. I don't really consider it a destination however. No need to go "Alabubba" on me, I'm a Vols fan (as hard as it is at the moment).
