Sugar Mountain Travel
 

Guys, I'm new to the forum. Usually board at Breck, but on a budget this year. Would like to make a drive or two to Sugar since it seems to be the best one within driving distance. Need advice on where to stay out there and what travel tips you all can offer. I've never been to this area and I know absolutely nothing about where to stay, eat, drink, party.... nothing!!! Help a guy out please.

Sugar Mountain probably has more snow.

Stay in Boone. It is like 30ish minutes away from the various slopes? I am not sure on the exact distance. Boone is where Appy state is so there are tons of bars and hot women. You can also hit up App or Beech since they are all close to Boone.

AWESOME... just the kind of direction I was hoping for. I'll make some calls for where to stay. Any hotels / condos you might recommend (or stay away from)?

I stayed at the Hampton Inn but it was a couple miles from campus. Just stay as close to campus as possible if you want good bars. I honestly can't remember which bars we went to but I remember there were a bunch of hot chicks and we had fun.

I grew up right down the mountain in Morganton. Boone is a great little college town. Finding fun won't be hard. Headies will be abundant, along with athing else you may so desire.

Sugar Mountian sucks, I won't ever go back there....Try Beech mountian, much better and has a high speed quad. Only 20 minutes from sugar, one mountian over.
Winter this year sucked however 2011-2012
