Lake Tahoe- Where to go for 3rd day?

No need to explain lack of snow, trip already planned, coming from Michigan, and never have been there.
We are going to be riding the 5th, 6th, and 7th of Feb and will be coming from Sacramento the morning of the 5th, and heading back the 7th after riding (staying at the Harvey's casino while there). Right now I have it as Kirkwood and Heavenly each for a day. Can someone suggest what to do for the 3rd day? Hit up one of those two places twice, or go some place else? Coming from Sacramento, is it better to do Kirkwood on one of our travel days, or to do it on the day we are going to be staying in Tahoe?

Unless we get more snow, which still looks at least 2 weeks away, you're out of luck. Third day, trek it up to Northstar. They have the best coverage, at the moment, of any resort in Tahoe due to their snow-making capabilities that no other resort can match.

Pray for snow!

yea northstar is a good bet if you enjoy park. squaw valley is epic when there is snow, some of the best tree runs but if theres still no snow the groomers wont be too exciting.

We will be fine with just groomers, it's what we have here but they only last 20 seconds and we do those laps all day. Still hoping a storm passes through before we get there though.

Someone clearly hasn't been to Tahoe this season.

I was just at northstar this past Monday and the conditions are better than you'd expect, given the amount of real snow. They've done an awesome job blowing snow.

Most of the blue runs are open. Just head up arrow -> comstock lift. It's a fun ride with good groomers that will take you a good 5-10 mins, maybe more to get back down.

Guess I should have bought my lift tickets last week. Kirkwood was $60, now $74. Heavenly is back up to $94 from ~ $80. Northstar is still at $94, haven't seen it less.
