I know it is still the end of summer, but i'm already excited for the upcoming season, and was just wondering when you guys think we will be able to go to the opening days?

usually bear opens the first or second week in december, i think last year they had one run open on the 6th of dec and on the 11th or 12th they got dumped on and opened almost the whole mountain. mt. high usually opens a little later ( around christmas) cause its lower elevation and the snow doesnt usually stick. im hoping el nino will grace us with an early season though, i got my season pass for bear last weekend so im jonesin pretty bad!

edit: looks like temperatures are gonna be colder than average this year with above average precipitation

if it those temps keep dropping , it might open up mid-late november

mammoth got some flurries today, they are supposed to get some more snow this weekend

only a few more weeks!

thats what im hoping for!
mammoth set their opening day for the second thursday in november
mt high says they will start making snow as early as oct 31, weather permitting
bear usually is a few days behind mt high but i have a feeling its going to be an early season

hope for some more cold weather =) (right now it is freezing in Long Beach which is really odd for this time of year)

just drove back to san diego from huntington beach, little bit of rain and temps in the low 60's...I've had my bear pass since april and CANNOT fucking wait to use it. MORE SNOW!!!
