Boreal opens tomorrow. N*/Heavenly are set to open 11/18, and Mammoth like mentioned above is Nov 10th or 11th.

There are a couple storms coming through this weekend and next weekend according according to NOAA andWeather Underground. Boreal is cool if park riding is your thing. If not then you will likely be disappointed.

Compared to the tahoe resorts, very small. Fun if you want to goof off. We did night riding for $30 and it was fun, because it was $30 and we were on our way back to Sacramento and decided to ride for 3 hours.

i tend to like the smaller resorts if im riding by myself for only one day. more opportunity to see the whole mountain. Anyone been to Boreal for opening day? pending a good week of storms it seems like it might make for some enjoyable riding

I've never been to Boreal, since there are much bigger and better spots a few minutes up the road, but there are some videos of opening day on youtube. I think Mammoth might get some of the storms coming through this weekend and next week. I hope they get dumped on, cause I'll be there next weekend!
