November ski area openings?

Anyone have info on any ski areas opening up around the lake tahoe area on or before Nov. 12/13? Going to be in Tracy, CA for work that weekend and would love to ride if something is going to be open.

I think mammoth will be your best bet.

I believe they have their opening day set at nov. 10th or earlier with sufficient snowfall.

Tahoe is not famous for early openings, just doesn't coincide with the weather. Most west coast mountains typically don't open until Thanksgiving at the earliest.

Almost every resort in Tahoe opens mid to end of November, I rode northstar last year on opening day and I think it was the 18th.

Sometimes those openings are more motivated by $$$ then snowpack though. Adds a whole new meaning to the white ribbon of death.

Last year I was riding 3 feet of pow when they opened, but some resorts still waited a week or so later to open, it just depends on the season, but most places open the week of thanksgiving sometime.

N*, Heavenly, Boreal just turned on their snow makers. Don't know when they plan to open. I think out of those 3 Boreal is the only one with a chance of opening before the date you mentioned. Unless the sky opens and dumps....
