I went to Kirkwood for 4 days over the New Year's weekend and had fun despite the sometimes icy conditions. Limited terrain open, and since I'm still learning, left me on Hayflats everyday, but with chair 11 and 6 open as well, there should be something for advanced riders.

I forgot to report back on the trip to Heavenly Valley. I boarded 2 days and it was all man made snow but coverage was good on the runs that were open. The park was good. I rode the small features and saw some really good riders throwing down huge spins, they were very impressive. My friend from the east coast said it was way better than where he rides in Virginia. Lot longer runs. The snow police was a bit weird telling you to slow down. Dont have that at Mt Hood. Every thing was bare off the main runs. Overall a good time riding. Mont Blu Casino was fun also thanks for the tip.
