Never knew about the rockstar lodge. Though Id rather split a room in South Lake for about the same price.

I was there this summer with wife and kids...Decent place, BBQ outside, kitchen inside, room was small and the restroom in the corridor a small playroom, good enough for crashing after a long pow day...they had wifi too if I remember well.

here I'm dreaming again....still 8 days to the "alleged" beginning...3 days of that at the least, and I mean 3 days of obese snowmen dump...and Friday or Saturday could be the season opener for me.

Looks like the storm window is finally open. This week is very exciting. If it's going to rain in SF, it's going to snow in Lake Tahoe.

I hope they get dumped on.

Most resorts are only about 20% open now if at all. If 2+' comes in like they are saying what can we expect to be open after the storm?

We get into tahoe sunday.

Places like n* and heavenly will have most terrain open since theyve been blowing and already have a number of trails open...should be very nice with the natty snow on top of them. Be prepared to pay a chunk of cash/day around 90$

Kirkwood will have snowkirk, chairs 5,6,11 open and they are going to be opening up more terrain off 11. If they get 5+ ft the backside and wall could be on tap. If 2ft just some more terrain off 11.
