mt high is very warm but its a fun little mountain with a good amount of fun features... your looking at a little icy early. nice conditions until around 1.. then slush until around 4ish....nice till 6 and then super choppy and icy during the night... still a super fun day riding in a long sleeve shirt all day long
never been to summit so idk what its like |

The last guy I dated i took to mammoth for the weekend paid for the whole trip. Yup. I sure only hung around him cos I wanted something. ![]() Would you have responded so rudely if I did not mention my gender? p.s I am probably twice your age. You wouldn't want to date me anyway! Last edited by mixie; 02-13-2012 at 11:34 AM. |

Bear is more park oriented, Snow Summit has longer runs but also has a few features. |

Snow Summit & Bear Mountain are way better than Mt. High from my experience. Mt. High is cool for a weekday with a discount discount ticket, but Summit & Bear are longer runs with more features. Summit has some great terrain, regardless of skill level and some legit park runs too.
If you do go to Mt. High, check out Ski for Free or Liftopia - Lift Tickets Online - Discount Ski Lift Tickets for some discount tickets. I believe the promo code for SkiForFree is "BOARD". They also sell discount tickets for some other resorts in California. Liftopia is just discounted tickets to whatever resorts they currently have "tickets" to. With both of these, you'll buy online & bring the printout receipt to the ticket office for a lift ticket - no additional fees at the resort. Neither is a referral site, but if I remember correctly, both require you to be a "member" and create an account to purchase lift tickets. |

Bear and Summit still suck. Bear is all park, unless Geronimo is open. I never seem to go when it is. Summit is FLAT!!!!!! Mtn High has a few redemming factors, the biggest (for me) is I can be there in under an hour. BB/SS is about 3
Mtn High is good for two things...park laps and keeping your chops up between mammoth trips Also, 99.8% of the people that go ONLY ride the park. I have had 2 "powder" days at High and still EVERYONE is crammed into the park and the bunny hill while East is empty. If you show them a season pass from any other Ca resort you can get a lift ticket for 25 bux. I could have *almost* bought a season pass with all the 25 dolla lift tix I bought this year :-/ |
