Wheeee!! Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center is having a fundraiser at Mammoth Hosted by Jeremy Jones.

There are also free avy clinics during the day. Im signed up for both sessions during the day and probably will be there for the fundraiser at Eagle in the evening. It's kinda past my bed time but I could slam some coffee I guess.

Last year I was signed up for the clinics and my car broke down on the way. THEN I signed up for avy 1 with ESAC and it was cancelled due to lack of snow.

Here's hoping I have better luck this year and maybe see some forum peeps there?

I do want to. When is the daytime seminar? Having trouble logging into my ESAC account.

Fundraiser sounds cool, and we can probably meet some people to decide on an Avy 1 class for the spring

They start at 12:30. The ESAC website is funky, just request a new password. This is what I signed up for


Session 1 (12:30pm - 2pm):
Companion Rescue / Beacon Clinic


Session 2 (2:30pm - 4pm):
Terrain Evaluation & Decision Making

I wanted to take all four classes offered, sadly not possible

However I don't think avy 1 will be cancelled this year and my car better not break down. All in all a much better January then last!
