I go pretty much whenever I get the chance. Nice thing about having a pass this season...Just go for even a few hours on the weekends before the crowds roll in. Mid-week...A bad day on the mountain is far better than a good day at work! Thats how I look at Bear/Summit. That said...my tailbone is still wrecked from an early season blowout at bear. Also...they could stand to take grooming lessons from Heavenly and Mammoth.

I still haven't gone to this resort but I really want to. I fell really hard on my lower back yesterday at Mt. High & was hoping that Bear would still have a bit more coverage. I've only gone once this season without hearing a scraping sound when carving or slowing down =/

Bear has been pretty decent for the little snowfall weve had this year. So far just one icy ass day and that was in January.

Big Bear is done for the season, it ends tomorrow, the 7th. The winter for Southern California started out well, but ended way too soon.
