Say I wanted to get a spring clinic in while theres some deals to be had in Tahoe. A bit more confidence on blacks (maybe park features too) will do me good. Never took a lesson before but everyone keeps telling me how much they help. Since I'm in cali by myself I dont even really have good riders around me to help push me (following great riders around was how I learned.) I see Sugar Bowl (a mountain I really liked) is doing free clinics with lift tickets ($70) for the rest of the year. Anyone know if they are good? I liked the terrain there a lot.
BUT Kirkwood has a decent deal right now too. Not free...but like $95 I think it was for lesson and lift. And since I'm going back home in April and dont know when I'll get to Tahoe again...I thought it would be a good move to try spring riding on the south side of the lake. Any high praise for any clinics/instructors up in Tahoe?

Ah ok. That was one of the things I was wondering about Kirkwood. It was good deal but only an hour and a half.
I looked at Northstar but the only option for level 6+ is the Burton Academy thing. Its all day but it's $300 without the lift ticket! And that itself is $95. The only package deals they have is for beginners. You would think end if the season you'd get a break right? Gah! I will totally check out Squaw/Alpine. It would be real cool to see those mountains in general. I think the all day intermediate lesson there was like $160 with lift. So thats a real good deal huh? How bout the smaller mountains? Sierra or Mt Rose? Are those worth looking into?
