Where should I buy a season pass in SoCal for boarding, Bear Mtn or Mountain High?
Hi there everyone,
My son wants to learn park and slopestyle riding well next season, so I'm committed to taking us boarding as much as possible in order to help him progress well.
If you were going to buy a season pass, would you pick Mountain High or Bear Mountain?
We live in San Diego, and I know Mtn High is about an hour closer, but how's the snowboarding terrain? Is it comparable to Bear Mountain?
My son wants to learn park, pipe and slopestyle tricks, so whichever place is best for this, I'll get us season passes, and we'll go often.
I've skied at both places, and boarded at Bear, but I'm not in the parks yet myself, just cruising. My son, however, wants to get seriously into tricks, so I'd better pick the best spot for that.
Best is subjective I'm sure, but basically I'm looking for a high quality snowboard park environment with well-made jumps, pipe, jibs and instruction if we need to get hooked up with a pro once in a while.
Any advice for which mountain is much appreciated, thank you!
P.S. We also go to Mammoth, Solitude and Steamboat each year, but only once each, so we really just need a season pass at a SoCal place, as that's where we'll realistically have enough time to visit often, due to the shorter drive time.
