Hey, as a heads up to any local riders and out of towner looking to make Mt. Hood a destination for some riding or skiing and are looking to get their friend, spouse or significant other into snowboarding or skiing, this year is an awesome year to do it. On Sunday, I went to our Ski & Snowboard School`s returning instructor orientation and I have to say I am stoked about the killer deals management came up with for this year.

A normal group lesson is $59 which includes rental gear, a bunny hill lift ticket good all day and a 2 hour lesson. Here`s where it gets good...for just $10.00 more you get an additional 2 hour lesson!

Probably the sweetest deal in region is the $99 3 time learn to ski or snowboard package that includes 3 days of, rental gear, a 2 hour lesson each day, full day bunny hill lift ticket and on the third day is upgraded to an all mountain ticket. Again, you have the option to upgrade to a 4 hour lesson each day for just $10.00 per day per person. So for $99 you get all the gear, lift tickets and 12 hours of group lessons!

Another cool thing about it is if you purchase online, you get a free round trip shuttle bus from Portland with either package on weekends and holidays. If you are a weekday rider, there is an awesome package that includes lift ticket and shullte bus ride for $50 and you can add a lesson for $10.00 more.

Some of the best riding time at this resort can be had in the evening and all of these deals can be utilized for night lessons which normally start at 6:00 PM This is a great opportunity to come up after work and get some turns.

Mt Hood Meadows won first place in the nation last year for guest service and safety and intend to retain that honor this year. The goal is to be "best in in the west" I am very proud to be part of such an organization!
