A common problem people have when turning heelside, is they lean their entire body heelside and loose thier balance (they just fall over backwards on the heel edge). To weight the heel edge in the turn, sit down in the turn and bend a little at the waist to keep the upper body over the board while weighting the heel edge with by shifting the hips over the heel edge as if you were about to sit in a chair. Also, remember to look over your front shoulder to where you want to go, this rotates the upper body properly to initiate the turn.
