Default Linking Turns on Steeper Terrain

I can link decently on the blue runs at my local hill. However on the blacks I cannot link at all. I end up doing skided turns and coming almost to a stop before I can turn back the other way. I think part of it is the speed factor but there might be something else to it, too.

I have seen on different clips that some people lift the nose of the board a bit when turning. I thought I had seen that this is supposed to help on steeper runs.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to link better or the name of the technique?

Thanks in advance!

personally i tend to un-weight the rear foot and pivot it around the front

almost like a nollie

it is kinda like a hop turn one way then the other... repeat....

To truly carve your turns on steeper teraain just takes some more "time behind the wheel" Untill you gain that confidence, you can use unweighted turns like Paolo described to get the turn completed quickly. Whe you do true carving down these steeper runs, you will need to learn to cope with the feeling of leaning so far down the hill. You have to in order to keep your board under control.
