Are you talking about turning your upper body to face downhill?
If so, you have to remember that there are times and riding tasks where this counter rotation is desirable. It is a part of a more advanced riding style known as dynamic riding. An excellent example of a situation where a rider might use counter rotation to their advantage is in the pipe. The key is knowing when, where and to what extent this counter rotation is appropriate. Cruising groomers is not one of those times if you want to perfect your riding efficiency.
Additionally, as Oneplankawanka pointed out to me the other day, the upper body is angled in relation to your stance angle. A more forward angle with the front foot is going to cause the rider to have a slightly more "facing forward" profile. This is natural and is considered acceptable by AASI standards. He can elaborate on this with the details I hope, as I need to review this info again as well.
