2 quick questions (360s)
I feel like when I rotate my 360s I'm landing on the tail of my board and falling. I'm thinking a it's probably because I'm leaning and pulling up on my front foot. Any tips to fix that?
My second is how can I have the most control while in the air? I feel like I'm very Up right when I spin. Will stance have an effect?

It's hard to be sure with no video but I'll try anyway, don't shoot me if I'm wrong :D
I can imagine a few things that cause it. First one is that you start spinning too early (while still on the snow) which makes you go off axis in the air and lean back when landing. The other one is that you pop unevenly. So you pop more with your front foot than your back foot (let's say 70% and 30% for example) and that throws you back. And yeah, you might be leaning back on the takeoff.
Good news is that these are all fairly easy to fix. I suggest you drill your 180's until you get the landings perfect. Play with them, try different ways to leave the takeoff to see what makes you lean backwards or forwards in the landing. If you already have your 180's down properly, try filming one of your 360's to see if you start spinning early or lean back on the takeoff. Or post the video here and let the experts here tell you what's wrong.
And for the stance question, yes it helps. At least for me and every friend I've talked with. Maybe I just have bad technique, don't know. But I like riding a wide stance to get the stability:thumbsup:
Basically it's either how you initiate your spin or how you pop that's throwing off your spin. No one can know for sure until you upload video, but those would be the two things that can send you off balance in the air.
1) If it's your pop
It's possible you aren't pushing off evenly off both feet to pop. You want to be pushing evenly off both feet to pop as you ride up that take-off ramp.
2) If it's your spin
It's possible you're not spinning straight and instead you're throwing your shoulder a little up or down as you spin, and that's sending your spin a tiny bit corked (off-axis).
You want to make sure you're spinning flat, roughly parallel to the jump take-off is how you want to be rotating your upper body as you initiate that spin.
As far as control in the air goes, it will come with time. The more comfortable you get with spinning, the more you'll have aerial awareness in the air and be able to not just be 'blind' in the air.
Once your aerial awareness starts improving, you'll be able to start bringing those legs up in the air, and even putting in a little grab. It's totally normal to be straight legged for your first spins, so I'd concentrate on fixing your spin technique first, then later you can work on your stance in the air (bringing your legs up, grabbing, etc).

What are the edges you want to use during a 180 and 360? If you take of your toe edge during a 180 do you also wanna land on your toe edge? For a 360 would you go toe an land/catch on your heel?! So much noob from me!!
Typically, you take off on your toe edge for any backside spin and heel edge for any frontside spin (you can also take off on your toes for heelside spin, but that's a little less common way to do it).
For landing you usually want to land, then engage whichever edge is opposite to the direction you're spinning. Doing this helps you to stop the rotation on the ground.
So for a backside 360, you'd be spinning to your right (assuming you're regular), then at the end of the backside 360 you'd want to pressure the edge to your left, which would be your heel edge in this case.
Awh the art of stopping a spin. I halfway agree with ya Jed. I'm regular so I like to stop my backside 3's by landing a tail first with my toe pointed down so I get immediate edge when I touch down. When my back toe has been planted I use torsion and set the heel of my front edge in immediately as it comes into contact with the landing. Having your back toe digging in while your front heel edge stops the force of that rotation faster and better than ruddering it with just one back edge.
Footwork with frontsides all varies on how you do the 360. If you come off heel heavy you will probably have the use your back foot heel edge and rudder it. If you come super flat you can dig your back toe in to immediately stop the spin.
