From toe to heel (when slope is on heel side)
I can finally join this amazing forum as my snowboarding career gets going. As you can imagine, I'm a beginner and gradually making progress as long as the edge catching allows me to :-(
I ride goofy and one of the troubles I'm having is making a toe to heel turn when the hill slopes from left to right. Imagine I'm traversing the hill on my toe edge and as soon as I engage my front foot to begin the turn, the nose of the board gets in line with the hill (left to right slope), picks up speed but I can't get it to continue turning. So instead of going from toe to heel, I go from toe to flat, gain speed and crash.
Is there anything I should do to make this turn? I can pretty much do it (toe to heel and back in a wide manner) when the hill doesn't slope.
I sincerely appreciate all the advice I can get. Thanks so much in advance!
