Process of Urban Riding

I'm interested to hear of everyone's tips and tricks they have during the whole process of riding an urban spot. By process, I mean from finding the spot to setting it up and finally to actually hitting it.

What my friends and I do is kinda just pick a day with shit weather or something like that and drive around random places, usually hilly areas and just hope that we can randomly find stuff.

One other thing I want to know is once you've found a spot, what stuff do you bring with you to the spot to help you with it? I just packed my car up with a couple shovels, banshee bungee, construction lights, extension cord, rope, power inverters, cam & tripod, and some other little stuff.

Do you ever bring water with you to help shape the lip or use a torch or grinder?
