My girlfriend and I are both beginner snowboarders, probably been out 6 or 8 times. I can link turns fairly decent, but no matter what I do, I CAN NOT get her to get onto her toe edge!!! I've told her to push your hips forward and get on your front toe and let the board turn you, but she just keeps getting back to her heel edge.
I know most of it is just fear and her being a wuss but is there any tips to get her to her toe edge?? |

In all seriousness, my wife, who is also a beginner, had the same issue until I got the Snowboard Addiction beginners video for her. It is, by far, the best beginning snowboard vid on the market. I did the instant download vice the actual DVD's.
Here's the link: Snowboard Addiction |

I really think paying for a lesson is a good idea. One beginner trying to teach another (and a boyfriend trying to teach a girlfriend at that) usually heads nowhere good. How about for a Valentines Day gift? You'd look like the caring type!
