ok ive been snowboarding a couple of times.. and i feel like i never improve.... i can go down the mountain pretty fast with heelside (or front side) going down goofy, but i absolutely can not do backside.. when i try and do backside, i am automatically in a regular stance.. then when i try and switch out of my backside to frontside going regular i automatically convert right to goofy again!
so i cant do frontside regular and i cant do backside goofy.. any advice? -dano |

Backside and frontside are normally used to talk about spins not turns. Stick to heelside and toeside for turns. Most people have a preference for riding goofy or regular. When you ride backwards you don't say you changed to the other stance, instead refer to it as riding switch. As for your problem, make it simple. Do you think you are goofy or regular? What happens when you try a toe side turn? How about heel side? |
