There are two ways to boardslide:

1. Twist your board 90 degrees, and your upper body in the opposite direction. When at the end of the box, you can use that counter-rotation to get back in your regular direction.

2. Pre-wind a bit before jumping on the box, jump and rotate with head --> Shoulders and arms --> Hips and knees in the direction you want to go. Try to keep looking over your shoulder while on the box, and keep rotating. It's the same as the boardslide when comming off switch, but now you want to turn a little faster so you get 360 degrees, or more just how you like...

Good luck!

Buy the Snowboard Addiction series and it will tell you all you need to know. Way too complex to explain it by text.

You have to keep your shoulders and head turned as far as you can in the direction you want to spin. If you stop turning them at any point it'll be difficult to continue the rotation. If you're having trouble get someone to videotape you and see if you are actually keeping them turned for the entire spin.

i think thats the most accurate and simple way of putting it. just don't catch your edge on the box!

Out of curiosity, is it roughly the same as just spinning on snow, but not using the edges?
