i wouldnt say i am a beginner. i would call myself an intermediate and looking for some private instruction on this forum board versus hiring someone at the mountain. I live in nyc and was hoping someone might want to take a day trip with me to VT? you spend the day with me helping me improve. ill pay for your bus/lift ticket. i want to take my skills to the next level but can only do so much by reading whats on this board. i think i need someone to ride with me, watch me and pull me alongside to make corrections and suggestions.
i feel like i cant get any better until im formally instructed and guided. nothing isnt really wrong with it per say. i just want to get better and in order to reach that next level i feel as if i need someone to help me with that.
i usually board only with guys or girls better than i but some just cant teach. would rather board with someone who can explain better. like a teacher!
yep considered those options but wanted to see first if anyone on this board were interested in doing a day trip for free and getting boarding with meals out of it!
I dont no how you would feel about being taught by a 13 year old but by all means im down with it. No need to pay for anything. Shoot me a pm if you are interested
The problem with getting a lesson from a non-pro is they may teach you things that are wrong and set you back in the long run. Granted, this could happen with a profession as well, but it is far less likely.
I agree. There is definitely a proper technique that can easily be mixed up . On the other hand, i wouldn't be trying to get that technique down 100% . As u progress as a rider u will put your own twist on things. Watch out though because some mountains will hire total idiots who don't no anything. Thats just from my experience
