taking it to the bigger features

I think have a okay arsenal of tricks I can do but I'm having problems (mostly balls to) take them to the bigger features in the parks. The bigger jumps, elevated boxes, and longer rails.

On the smaller 5-10ft jumps I can land front 3's and sw front 3's and bs/fs 180's regular and switch.
I can hit the bigger 10-25ft kickers but I'm scared to throw the tricks. I'm not really sure how the kicker will throw me or how slow to rotate compared to the smaller jumps

For boxes and rails I have board slides, front boards, lip slides, and sw front boards down pretty well can land regular and fakie and do fs/bs 180s out on 50/50's
My problem on them is the balls to hit the elevated boxes and longer rails. I end up getting onto my edges and well... Thats no good.
On gap to's I have the same problem when I try to land on the slides

The best thing to do is start visualizing your tricks before doing them. Starting on small features and then bring them to bigger ones. It sounds like you have the mechanics down, just need to get over your fear of bigger features. Start small on them to get familiar: straight airs on jumps and 50-50s on rails and boxes.

Good luck, you'll be sending it in no time!

Take it from me, from sponsored big air competitor to just coaching and not wanting to get to hurt anymore. I got back into the hard riding by simply falling! do a 360 or 5, 5s are easier for me so a 360 was the ticket as far as I was concerned but you need to take the fall! whatever it is, either riding the tail out from leaning too far back or slipping out on an edge. the best medicine for me to get back to riding hard and spinning big was to fall and realize its not that bad. after I did that and I controlled the fall fine,I went for 7, under rotated the first and slid out but then next worked fine, then it was rodeos. all came back due to the 360! start with straight airs, 180s, 3s, 5s, and more. and take your time. do 10 straight airs, 10 180s and 8 3s before the 540s or 7s if you need. No one is going to judge you, or at least not where it matters. and when it matters, youll have all this stuff mastered!

I attempted a front 3' off a lip yesterday several times and pulled the muscles(tendons?) in my ankles and my right tricep from eating shit... and never could get it dialed... and that hurt like shit XD

just saying but some things man, you just got to get the fear out and concentrate on what you're doing wrong.

Lol thanks blind that's what i need to hear outa my friends on hill.

I think I do just need to sit up to visualize and get the "what if" out of my head.
