newb maintenance ?
So, finally got my first day out with my new setup and it turned out to be a pretty icy day. My board has some very fine scratches I can feel on the bottom. Is there any way to polish these out? Like green scotch pads? Also, the board is a CX 2500 base, how often should I wax it if I'm mainly riding ice/slush/man made garbage?
Also, another random question about my board. I picked up a GNU Carbon Credit at the end of last season and noticed when I got back from the trip that there is a hump running tip to tail about where the back of my rear binding sits. Is this normal? Thanks in advance. |

The GNU? Photos to show what you are talking about would help (good, clear ones too) :) |

Thanks, nice tutorials on YouTube btw. But, the scratches are all very, very small. Can't are them, just feel them. I noticed in your waxing videos you took the time to brush your board to polish it and I was just wanting to keep the base as nice as possible.
As far as the bump though I cannot take a picture of it because you cannot see it. Only feel it. If you've ever done bodywork its the same feeling. Very gradual rise and fall. If I had to guess I would say the hump is about 1 inch by 4 inches. |
