Took my boys to loveland this past weekend to have a little fun, this was only my forth day of snowboarding. I booked a private lesson for the afternoon and spent the morning on the bunny hill working on turns. Anyway I was linking turns on the bunny hill by the time my lesson was to start although my style was not to great.

My instructor took me down the bunny hill a couple of times and then proceeded to take me to the blues for the rest of the lesson. He really pushed my limits and worked on my technique and by the end of the lesson I felt very confident with the increased speed and difficuty of the blue runs.

I guess it just goes to show to importance of lessons and how much it can speed up your learning process. I will probably go out two or three more times before I take another lesson, but I will be taking them again in the future so I can progress to the blacks someday.

Nice! IMO, Good lessons will not only help you progress faster, but will also help prevent you from picking up bad habits that can be hard to break later on.

but seriously, thank you for being the beginner that sees the value in lessons and doesnt shrug them off because you think they are a waste of money or you think you are so good you dont need them. They are the best way for you to get into the sport and you will be extremely glad you took them. take one or two more down the road to tune your riding and learn some new, important skills
