Today was my first day trying to back flip to snow.
I got the first 270 degrees of the flip fine, but during the last 90 degrees of the flip I begin to rotate frotnside and not land it (almost like a bad frontside rodeo) If anyone can help me land them please let me know your tips. Yeah. I cant do back flips but I can see thats where you are going wrong, usually you need to pre load you body in the opposite direction to negate that force when you launch. Thats how I used to overcome the same type of problem when I was skating.
I would say rotate your upper body toward your back hand prior to launching to negate that natural force that seems to be getting you.

the first one looks solid until 70% around, you looked back at the ramp(i think). If your gunna barrel, your line of sight should be on the sides on the trail. It just looked like you twisted your head to much back and that brought your body therfore your board around 90. (maybe to spot the landing).
thought it looked killer though. not gunna lie. EDIT: watching a few more times, you look like you stopped looking behind you a touch to early, causing the rotation to get screwy, and just tried to force the board around for the landing. Last edited by liner; 01-22-2013 at 02:44 PM. |
