Carving is turning on the edge of your board - it leaves a thin line behind on the snow, as opposed to that skidded S shape.
The most important, and overlooked, aspect of carving is having enough speed to actually initiate the carve. A lot of people complain that they can't get up on an edge, when they're puttering along. |
