Default another newb with questions

So this year I'm getting back to snowboarding since I met some good people at school. I used to snowboard from 8-14 years old but stopped because I sprained my ankle. So now I'm 20, 5'10 and 220 pounds. The other day I picked up a Burton custom with Burton bindings and boots. The guy who really knew what he was talking about told me to get a 162 since it should go by weight rather than height. I plan on doing a bit of everything, nothing freestyle crazy, but definitely jumps and stuff idk yet because i really know nothing about it.
the board seems a bit big to me but i goes barely above my chin bared feet. I'd like to know you guys input on this]

thanks a lot
