New member from Utah
I obviously just joined the site. But I have been lurking on here for the past week or two. Checking out tips for turning, etc.
I figured since I live in Utah, I needed to start a winter sport. So snowboarding it is. I just went to Snowbird for the first time today (to actually ride the slopes, not just hang out), and I must say I had a blast. Yes I did face plant a couple times, hurt my arm pretty bad, and left the mountain in some pain. But I still had a lot of fun and am going to continue learning and hitting the resorts.
Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude are all just 20 minutes (give or take) up the canyons from my house. So it's gonna be a good winter!
I also took some advice learned on here, and didn't spend $500 just on a board. HAHA. Here's my simple setup that should last me a while...
Board - Ride Agenda
Bindings - Ride EX
Boots - ThirtyTwo (BOA system)
Jacket - DC (exotex 10,000mm)
Pant - North Face (Cryptic Monte Cargo)
WOW... I typed way too much. Cheers!
