:yahoo:
So I grew up in Colorado and lacked the funds to really ever get into snowboarding. I went a few times with cheap day passes and rentals with friends worthy of dragging someone down the mountain.
Now I'm done with my undergrad degree and working on a masters. I qualified for the "student" pass this year and bought a season pass to go when I'm not at work or at school...which might not be as much as I like but I'm going to make it happen! Okay, but why I really joined is I need some of your seasoned help! I've been looking into getting a cheap used snowboard setup off ebay/craigslist and despite all my research in sizing I'm still flabbergasted. :dunno:
So some say you want a board that comes up past your chin and before your forehead...somewhere around there. For me that makes about a 150 at the nose. However when looking people say boards fit this size to this size in height (with my height being in there) and it's a 143...
I get that shorter can be good for trying to do tricks and stuff? I think is what I read...
Anyway, regardless...
I'm still learning, but I do want to be able to pick up a relatively cheap board/boots/bindings for the season to avoid the build up in cost of rentals...so help me on the sizing! Please?
I'm about 64-65" and 125lb :eusa_clap:
I want something I can not stumble down the hill with as I learn, but something that's not quite so boring once I get the hang of it. I'm not afraid of falling, I've done it many many times. I've got a helmet so the brains are safe.
Let me know what you guys think -- I'm super excited, but still all confused. :dizzy::dizzy:
