Hey guys I'm new here obviously..

I live in NZ and can't wait for winter to roll around again.. have my season pass already

(Although depending on if I get the jobs I've applied for in Aus it might be cut short.. career should trumph hobbie.. but I'm really hoping they will let me start in october..)

I learnt last seasons and loved snowboarding.. I can't wait to push my limits this year..

I HATED snowboarding the first time I went.. ended in me throwing a massive trantrum and crying saying how much I hated it.. haha.. I put that down to the fact it was the opening day of the most touristy place.. and was at the tiny beginners slope where you couldn't even go a metre without someone running into you... I didn't have proper pants so I was freezing and soaked.. my boyfriend was trying to teach me.. and my hire boots were f-ed and couldnt do up so I had to put tape around them so that they would hold as I wasn't going to drive down then back up to get new ones!!!

Sooo glad I gave it another chance (after MUCH convincing from my boyfriend).. went to a diff field.. got a lesson.. and I think after one day I went and got my own gear because I loved it!!

Yeah, good to see kiwis! Hey everyone...

I've just returned to NZ after another season in the northern hemi. I am new and it's good to see there's people in my neck of the woods! I've been riding for about 4 years...have done a few seasons in Fernie and Lake Tahoe and a few days here and there in Europe and more around the US.

Lamb, good that you gave snowboarding another go. The first time I learned I absolutely hated it as well! But now, snowboarding is pretty much my life. It's on my mind 24/7...from cloudy, snowy days riding powder, trees and steeps to sunny rad park days and everything in between. Well, maybe except for cold, deathly bulletproof ice days...

I'm in the south island so if anyone is ever this way, gimme a heads up, I'm keen to meet up and shred!

There is no snow in New Zealand, only tussock and rock...
