My wife and I are moving to Alaska due to the army. She already skis and I am wanting to snowboard. I will be renting for awhile but I figure I can get on here and do research on boards, bindings and boots. I figure I will been more of a casual rider maybe 2-3 times a week if possible. I am kind of a car loving, gun totting, redneck I love fast cars and guns. I am not going to try to fit in with a crowd. I am my own person, but if I am going to snowboard I want to learn by taking lessons from an instructor and truly understand the snowboard language. plus this give me and my wife another thing in common. Anyway my name is Jon and I hope to pick a few brians for information, but first I have some reading to do on the site.
