Default New(er) to the sport

I've gone snowboarding a couple times. When I go, I usually go to someplace within a decent driving distance (usually Sundown Mountain). I can get down the medium level hill okay. Sometimes I make it down okay and other times I fall. Anyway, back to my question. I (since I started) snowboarded regular footed. Then I noticed the other day when I hopped on my friends skateboard, that I skateboard (if I did it consistently) goofy footed. My question is, would it be beneficial for me to switch my snowboard bindings around so I board goofy? I've been trying to research and most of the 'test' methods lean towards goofy. Is that why I can ride switch fairly well you think? I mean I'm no expert, but being able to go down hills switch on your first couple attempts seems to be pretty good to me (maybe I'm more clueless than I thought).

I've decided I'd be more comfortable riding goofy. I'm attempting to switch my bindings around, but I can't line the screw holes up. Any suggestions? I have Burton board and bindings.

If they fit regular, they fit goofy.
