Newbie from Ohio - Snowboarding Forum

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to say what's up! I'm an "older" newbie who will be surfing the sweet "valley slopes" of northeast Ohio this winter. Just started snowboarding last season and am totally addicted! Hope to learn more about this awesome sport through these forums and out on the slopes. I don't do park much...mostly downhill freeride and rock a Rome Headliner board. My goal is to eventually get decent here in the Midwest, and (eventually) move out West (or East...VT/NH) for better skiing/snowboarding experience. Thanks in advance for all the advice that the experts out there can give me this season!

Hey buddy, welcome. There's a few of us who ride at BM/BW. Open house is this weekend too.

Thanks, man. I'm unfortunately working this weekend so I can't make the open house. I rode BM/BW a couple of times last season. I'm still a beginner so mostly worked on the basics at Summit and Buttermilk. Hoping to improve my skills more this season. Hope to see you around, Deviant.
