Account Activations - Snowboarding Forum

As some of you may have noticed it can take awhile to activate your account. The reason for this is that we are manually approving each account due to spammers. This site gets hit hard, and after banning and removing around 20 spammer posts a day we went to manual approvals.

Snowolf and myself are the main guys doing the approvals. I am generally online m-f 7:30-4:30 mountain time zone. I'll do morning approvals and check through out the day until I leave. After that snowolf usually does some nightly approvals and some on weekends. If your account doesn't get approved within 24 hours during the week, it probably means I am out doing something like snowboarding. I get the powder flu frequently during the winter and have to get it treated on a regular basis. We will get to you guys but on occasion it takes time and I apologize for that.

Keep in mind this is a hobby for us and that we hate spammers.

All, we are having problems with account activations at this time. I don't want to say this, but here we go. If you are waiting to be activated and haven't gotten your account activation email, PM me or snowolf. We are having to manually approve accounts, and are not getting notifications on new ones. I hope to get this resolved by Monday, but until then. Hopefully our PM boxes do not get overfilled with requests.

Sorry all. I didn't realize how big of a problem we had until this morning.
