Just moved back to NY from Los Angeles to help out the family with their business (Aerospace).
I didn't do any boarding for the 12 years I was in Los Angeles but with all the snow falling I got the itch to get back to the mountain. Saved up some cash and picked up a decent board, bindings and some killer boots. Looking forward to carving it up with my friends. When I first tried boarding it was on a very icy day. I didn't catch on much and even sprained a rib from falling. That night 30" fell and it was as if I had been boarding all my life. All my waterskiing, windsurfing and skateboarding experience helped a ton. Great forum. I appreciate all you with experience giving advice and plenty to read and learn about. |

When I look back I was escaping the cold. Was all about sand and sun. Did a lot of dune riding at Pismo and Duhmont. Also quite a bit of jetskiing at pyramid lake. Cool place. Lake in the middle of the desert. Wish I did do some boarding. I missed out on that for sure. Hope you find some snow. |
