Default whatup fellow boarders!

Hey everyone, my names Harry & I'm 19. Been creeping this forum for quite a few months till I finally decided I'd join the community. I live on the Gold Coast, which is pretty much a surf city located in Queensland, Australia. It annoys the shit out of me seeing as every person loves the heat, to surf and wear nothing but board shorts when I'm the complete opposite haha. I love to shred the powder whenever I get the chance. Heading down to Mt Hotham in July and hoping to seek employment in Canada this Christmas on the slopes seeing as I graduate from my Law degree in 4 weeks!

Currently riding a Burton Custom with some Cartel bindings but pretty keen to hit up some Never Summer/Rome when I head overseas as they rarely retail them here and when they do, they're hella overpirced. I prefer to ride the mountain as opposed to park, however the parks in Australia are freaking rancid haha, usually 2 rails/2 boxes so may be more keen when I head over there.

Anyways guys, hope to get to know you all. Happy boarding! xD

(By the way, if anyone can give any advice about getting jobs overseas on the slopes, that'd be great. Getting my visa is no problems, but I want to know what a decent job is... what are the skill reqs. for instructing, what is being a liftie like, do i want to work in a bar? Don't want to get over there and be stuck in a shithouse job haha. Thanks!)

Welcome to the forums. You'll find a lot of good resources. Only downside is it gets really quiet during the southern hemisphere's winter.

Gold Coast is a beautiful area. I studied 7 months in Newcastle and stopped there during a road trip from Cairns down to Sydney. Thoroughly enjoyed your country and the people.

On the jobs front, not too much info on that. I'll wait for someone else to chime in.
