Roads were just awful....but i made it. It was pretty deep for November, plenty of bottomless turns and face shots (giggidy)....I was 5 runs in, hit a bit of a kicker, landed kinda screwy and BAM!!! snapped the ankle ladder on my NOWs. 5. runs. Last years, brand new, first day.

I know they had issues with last years, and i know it was super cold today, but 5 runs? I was super choked as it ended my day. anyhow, here are a few screen grabs...the quality is garbage as I screwed up the framerate when i imported it...still figuring out these techy things.

Sorry to hear that Banjo. Those 5 runs could be some of the best this year!
I hope they don't pull the old wear and tear thing. First day? Come on "now."
Glad you were not depending on them for some big technical line on Delirium.
Yup....I think i may have solved my problem though...I grabbed a set of Mission Restricted last year as they were dirt cheap and i wanted a spare, never really use them and they have the asym strap. might just throw the ankle and toe assembly on the NOWs and call her good!

4 runs isnt much, but i think i really liked them so ill give em another try.

Edit: While I was typing this, I got a reply from JF himself asking me what store I would like to go to here in town, and he would make sure I get them fixed ASAP. Customer service at its absolute finest....replied within 10mins, no BS, just getting me fixed up.

That's awesome to hear about good customer service for a change. I actually just sent an email to Nomis today because my pants started blowing out after 5 days of riding. Had an email back within 10 minutes as well and it's all getting taken care of. I should mention that The Source is a huge part of getting me fixed up in this situation too.

I like the source for their selections. But their staff for the most part are not very helpful. AND that have had to go back 5 times this summer to get magnetic tags removed from items that were all bought this summer.

Shame on me for not checking. But really I shouldn't have to check, and I got all these items over the summer and put them in my basement. So only found them months later.

Out of the 10 items I bought from them in 4 months, there is no excuse to have 5 items to have magenta tags on them.

I was looking at a $734.95 board there in the summer. I asked him a simple question about getting a different colour that I saw on the manufacturer's website. His response was ridiculous......

"Hey do you have this board with the colour base instead of the black" -me

"If we don't have it, they don't make it" -him

"I'm positive they make it, do you want to look at the website? I can show you" -me

"I don't think they do" -him

We then stared at each other and I then left.

Another time I went in to get my wife some boots. She's never snowboarded before so she wanted to try a few one to be sure which would be the most comfortable. It was July and she was wearing sandals. She asked the guy if they had a sock so that she can try the boots on.

They guy came back 5 minutes later with a CRUSTY sock that looked like it had been in a gutter for 3 weeks, then frozen, then left under a dusty shelf to dry, then given to my wife.

We walked out. And by the way. Both of these guys were managers!!!!

I've spent $5000 or so in the last 6 months (I buy a lot of stuff) and I can count more than 5 times that will make sure that I won't go back.

The only thing that might change my mind is that the Shawnessey store has been great.
