I was at Louise Monday. I was expecting it to be much better than opening weekend. It is still a hard crusted, icy, bare mess. It needs a few solid dumps before it is decent.

Not to discourage you, but ya, I wasn't happy.

This winter has been a mess of fresh snow followed by rain followed by flash freezing... so lame. All that good snow has just been destroyed.

Still going though.

Ya, it would be nice if more of the advanced terrain would open at Sunshine. The snow quality is great there right now.

I was at Louise yesterday. Conditions were absolutely horrible, definitely needs a couple more dumps of snow.

Ditched work today at 10, and me and a bud went up. Pretty fun day, but still pretty rocky in places. Good pow stashes, but things were pretty tracked out when we got there (1230).

Out of bounds in west bowl and that tree run we're nice, but some pretty big rocks hiding under a fresh coat of pow.

Good vis, some sun, not terribly busy and just the right temp.

My best day at the lake thus far this season, but still not so great compared to previous years.

Till now, opening weekend last year had better coverage, now with this storm we're further ahead.

Would choose to hit Castle tomorrow if I had a choice.

Were did you go on the hill?

On the contrary, I found a lot of powder. I was thigh deep in one place. No joke. Groomers were quite decent in most places with a light dusting of powder. This was on the 28th of December.
