Kimberley Conditions?
Anyone know how the conditions are at Kimberley? I am going this weekend and I am trying to decided whether I should bring my new board or my rock board.

Yup, an old thread but didn't really need a new one for this....

Was at Kimberley at the end of March. The national masters skiing champs were going on.

The conditions were def spring, but it did get some nice snow one day.

Not many people there plus a foot or two of the powdery stuff = a fun few days.

The 20 metre walk to the lift from the hotel was fun.

I didn't get to explore the whole mountain but it seems there runs for everyone.

Anyway, I had a good time, take from it what you will!

Why thanks you snowmoose. You sound intelligent and handsome.

I am at Kimberley now. Conditions are hard packed....maybe a bit of dust on crust but we had a huuuuge 3cms of snow last night so the website now advertises it as powder conditions (lol).

Maybe higher in the mountains.

There's about 10 ski schools here and they all fly down the home run ski way until about 9am when they head off to their respective lanes.

Party on!

^You guys are great.

Not much snow here anymore. As much as everyone is nice and's either icy right up the top and rocky, etc down the bottom.

Turns to slush quickly too. Was +14 degrees here today so that explains it.

board on!
