Sales in Whistler?

Hey guys

Been in Whistler since the start and already my boots are giving up. I would really like to get some new ones but they are very expensive here and i wondered when or maybe if the sales might start happening on snowboard gear?

Any advice gladly taken.

Not until end of season, and since you are in the middle of a resort where demand is sky high, sale prices won't appear until really late in the season.

I understand your problem-had a similar issue last year. Boots gave out and couldn't find a pair my size that fit right.

You check craigslist or pawn shop, for a cheap pair that can last until the end of the season?

I think boots should almost always be bought brand new, unless you're actually that broke, or they've only got like one day on them. I would check Craigslist, or the outlet store down in Squamish. Guys like me come and go from down in the city to Whistler pretty much every week and I'm often alone

I live my life one storm at a time.

Whistler craigslist has a lot of equipment on it. I'd look for boots that are almost new but the guy bought the wrong size. Happens a lot

Thanks guys. Yeah i have been trawling Craigslist but alas no luck as far, it doesn't help that i am an awkward size (13).

I also agree that boots need to be new or thereabouts to be any use. I have invested a lot of money to be here in WB and it would be silly to short change my riding experience because of a couple of hundred dollars extra.

Thanks for your help and suggestions, i might go into town tomorrow and try some more boots on and see if i get spirited away. Tried on the Vans Aura a size down and they were agony but the sales person assured me they would fill out, which is exactly what happened to my Vans Aura that have now broken.

Anyway i digress thanks alot for the advice everyone.
