Revelstoked for another year

man 'o man, what a week! 70cm from when we arrived last sunday march 3rd up to Wednesday of this past week.

monday we returned to our friends at K3 cats located between Sicamous & Revy for a day of riding. this is really what spawned my last minute trip out there as they had 3 seats open up the week prior. a couple emails and clicks later our flights were booked and away we went.

first things first, the usual mini avy briefing / training for the uneducated.

our guides ian, matt and dillon got us into the good stuff. thankfully the fresh snow filled in alot of their tenure like this "run" below, i forget what they named it

Including the areas of a burnt out forrest which we haven't ridden before. this stuff was my favourite, just pick a fall line, point it and charge it!

me and my two riding buds mike & rich

sun busted out for a brief moment after lunch on the ride back up

i'm going to miss riding glades

it was alright, not awesome, but alright. I brought my powder/big mtn board too, a jones 168W flagship as well as this 158W rome. Needless to say the jones board was my go to for most of the week in higher elevations/steeper pitches and really deep snow as it just effortlessly floats. the artifact floats too, but was really best suited to ride in the glades mostly as it turns on a dime, can pop an ollie like no other board i've ever ridden and i can ride it switch without issues.

Was the pow heavy or light? Thinking of going out if they get a top up but it looks to be getting warm in golden this week.

So many runs so little time.

as of end of day this past Friday, from about mid-Stoke chair and above the snow was still nice, light dry blower pow. But from mid-Stoke chair and down, the lower on the mountain you went, the more water saturated it was.

Same goes for the ripper chair side. The greely and north bowls were nice up until about the top of the ripper chair, from there the moisture is getting the better of the snow.

At the base, super duper packing snow with everything melting around the village. They did get another small dump yesterday up top, so as long as it stays cold and overcast the upper mountain should still be good times.
