Whistler this weekend 4/12/14

Hey Peeps,

Anyone have a forecast site they like for Whistler/BLackomb? Looking at a trip up there this weekend, but probably wont go if it's gonna rain. Any recommendations and/or info on how it's looking is appreciated.

I know it's tough this time of year with predictions. Thanks!

Supposed to be mostly warm and sunny this week, clearing towards the weekend. Weather there isn't too much different from Vancouver. Today was typical varied PNW weather ending in lots of sun. Depends if it's a real high pressure ridge or just general instability with no storms rolling in. Could be bluebird and slush in a lot of places.

Seeya there.

This should set you straight with rain/snow predictions, bit more detailed than the whistler website.

Given the conditions. You guys recommend the custom-x or nug?

Depends, but I would lean towards laying trenches on your x :)

Ya. Was wondering if it's pretty much slush or ice. In which case I'd have more fun on the softer board (nug).

It'll be pretty warm and slushy... Shouldn't be any ice anywhere, except maybe up high in the am. Mind you, the groomers do a good job laying down cord.

I'd bring whatever stick you have more fun on. There will be lots of side hits to play on when you're not going Mach 10.

I rode all day today, the am was definitely icy, but softened up after a few hours. It rained, it hailed, and snowed for a bit too. Was definitely a good day.
