One Last Turn at Whistler Blackcomb (May 31)

Needed to get one last session in for the season.

Hiked up Blackcomb with the gf on Saturday (May 31). It took us 4 hours to get to Rendezvous Lodge from Base II.

She took the Peak2Peak over to Whistler and rode the gondola down, while I went to Hortsman's Hut. It took me about an hour to get there from Rendezvous.

I had to unstrap at a few spots, however was able to ride down to the bottom of Solar Coaster.

Base II parking lot

Hiking up Green Line, just above Base II

Green line trail

Look up Grub Skate (I think)

There wasn't any snow on our accent until we hit the bottom of Cat Skinner

Taking a break

Made it to Rendezvous lodge in 4 hours.

Tourist shot at Rendezvous

Half way up to Hortsman's underneath 7th Heaven

Finally made it to the top. Took an hour from Rendezvous

Made a coffee before I rode down.

Saw a bear on my way down.

Basically took the Green Line all the way to the top.

You get extra points if you Jib the bear!!! Looks like a decent last run for so late in the season. (...especially since my last run was almost 6 weeks ago!)

Haha, at the time I was actually thinking "crap, what am I going to do if the bear starts to approach me". Luckily he/she just did its own thing and walked the opposite direction.

Whistler bears are friendly!

Here's a little fellah I bumped into yesterday!

(plus nice one last turn. I'm both impressed and convinced you're crazy!)

I was surprised the gf even wanted to hike it and definitely happy that she completed it.

Obv I wouldn't separate from her, so before we started, I was telling her you "have" to make it to rendezvous haha
