Forecasters can hardly tell you what the coming weekend is going to look like, much less an entire season. Never get too hyped or too bummed about long-term forecasts.

I remember seeing something a month ago saying this winter is going to be brutal.

Cold and lots of snow kinda brutal. It was the farmer almanac.

This winter forecast pretty much shows the El Nino that was being talked about earlier.

After a couple of great season's, this year seems to be trending a little below seasonal for precip and and above seasonal temps.

Been riding the last couple of years by the end of October at Nakiska and Norquay, and here now, nowhere's close to opening yet this year.

Maybe time to start looking at Quebec City trip this season. At Chez Ashton they give you a discount on poutine every January, minus whatever temp it is outside. I'd be pretty sweet to take to train ride out to Le Massif. Back in town, could spend a couple of $10 bills at the Caberet Lady Mary Ann.
