Given the non-season we just had, I'm needing something to look forward to. Maybe talking about next year will stop me whining about this last one.

I've renewed my Cypress pass, given the unbelievable deal that Cypress has offered. It's good to see that once in a while, the marketing people aren't complete morons.

hahaha

Last season was bad. I thought... I can't possibly get any worse. Surprise MFers!! it was not only worse.... it was waaaaaaay worse.

HOWEVER... Whistler had a sleeper. The season cost me much more than planned, but i got waaaaaay more powder days and awesome runs than last yr. This yr most pow days happened on weekends too, so that was awesome. Crowded, but man i had some great days. I missed THE day of the season (this last Tue), but what the hell, i'm happy with how the season turned out in the end and it's not even done. And the best thing is, 15-16 i'll have passes for Whis and Cypress = score.

Damn you, I wanted to start next years.

I call foul. haha

This season isn't over yet.

I just bought a beach pass & it's good until may 17th.

2 weeks ago tickets were $120 bucks.

You can get a pass for $200 right now.

Go get one.

This was yesterday

This season definitely ain't over yet.

You would have easily spent $200 on fuel alone going to Cypress, had it been open.

That should justify you to buy a spring pass to whistler.

On a side note, I went & talked to some chick to see if I could get some sort of group thing going?

She said they don't do that.

I told her I sold more than 100 passes for Cypress mtn.

After that, she wanted my email address.

She emailed me last night & wanted to know more & passed me a number too the big cheese.

Oh, I'm likin' this.

Let's see if TT can pull out some razzle dazzle & get us some cheap passes for whistler?

Cypress' group passes are the cheapest ones they offer, there are no cheaper passes available. Ever. Period.

I think the student pass is the cheapest one @ whistler? For $600 I think?

If I can get it for cheaper than that?

You guys mide as well start dancin' now:jumping1::jumping1:

Someone at work just told me that Whistler got a bit of snow at peak. While checking snow-forecast.com, I saw that Cypress predicted a cm of snow at peak as well.

That doesn't mean that it happened, but it does mean that the freezing level has dropped enough. Maybe, oh, maybe we'll get a season this season.

Dare I hope? I've been hurt before. The pain, the pain...

K all you guys.

GO BUY A ROCK BOARD.

I had @ 20 days @ cypress last year, they weren't the best days but 1 one of em was actually pretty good.

There will be snow to ride, you just wouldn't want to ride it on your good board.

I have lots of rock boards, come & get em.

It's not very much fun riding around trying ti avoid all the rocks.

But it is fun jumpin' em & tail tappin' em & ridin' over em, that's awesome fun.

I think it's around $80 bucks to renew your pass?

I'll do it for $50.

I have lots of credits left from last year, so you guys can have an even better deal through me.

Very long time lurker, first time poster here!

I definitely saw some frost on the webcams! beyond stoked for the upcoming season.

I moved to Vancouver Island over the summer and I may have to skip out the mainland this season, but I'll try to update on Mt. Washington if you'd like to include it in the thread

Broke my arm first day on Grouse last season, and didn't ride the year before that :finger1:

The two previous seasons I lived and worked in Whistler, would LOVE to go back for another few years but financials are tight and we're squeezing into shoulder season so I feel like the aussies are snatching up all the rentals right now haha.

Well, there will be some snow.
Man made @ least.

As shitty as that is, you gotta make the best of it.

I was just talkin' to a guy tonight about that.

He said he was glad he didn't get a pass last year.

I said why not?

It may have been a super shitty year for snow, but I paid my pass off twice prolly?

Wasn't the best, but I know other dudes that didn't go at all.

This years pass was like 80% off, if you had one last year.

Uh, yeah!

It's called my corporate discount.

You can't get a cheaper pass, they don't exist.

Early bird still costs more, there is absolutely no pass cheaper than the corporate pass I can hook you up with.

That makes it pretty much unbeatable:jumping1:
Even if you don't go a single time, cause it's not the greatest.

But if you have a board specifically for that, it's actually super fun.
That's one of the awesome parts of snowboarding.
Riding over different obstacles & shit.

To me... just the night riding makes it worth it for goung after work.
Everything else is a bonus.

A good day at Cypress is awesome; some really fun terrain and if there's enough to get the parks going, then even better.

Just going for a day out is super... show up early.... ride a bit, chill, have a coffee, ride some more, have a beer, eat something, ride, have more beers....... It's a 8am to 10pm day. Plenty of time for everything.

Whistler is too much business. Short day. You drive, then ride, ride, ride til you drop. Last yr I missed the chill vibe of riding Cypress...

Same chill vibe atSeymour...... except a lot less terrain and no snow making. But a LOT less skiers which is good.

Anybody going to the Turkey sale as Whis next week?

I've never been to it as the Thanksgiving weekend is pretty busy for me, however I want to try and go this year to check it out.

Unfortunately, if I'm able to go, it probably won't be until Sunday, so not sure what will be left by then.
